Thanks to the clue from David Poe below and some detective work from Ron G. at MichiganDrive-Ins.com, it turns out an outline of the drive-in can be seen (according to the historical aerial photos) at the location of the junkyard on Carleton Rd. Looks to be quite a small drive-in.

My dad, Julian R. Lyon, at age 14 worked as a wrangler at the Diamond T for the summer of 1949. He remembers Homer Poe who was a friend of his dad, Julian D. Lyon. That summer was one of the best ever. We will post more about Midwest Roundup Diamond T Ranch 1949 in a few days!.

I don't know for sure, but i'm told that my grandpa delbert bailey played fiddle at the old square dances there. he was my mothers father. her name was mildred bailey-poe-borck. she lived most of her life in clayton. I remember the remains of the old buildings when exploring the back of johnsons junk yard. I think there should be places like this now, but what do I know?.

The squaredance caller was Bob Gray, from Hudson.

A recollection from a friend who dated at this joint in the early 50s: Oh, wow, did you ever take me back to my dating days with ***** and some of the happiest times of my life. We loved to square dance. I don't know how we found this old dude ranch but every Saturday night there was square dancing. Room for about three sets and the best caller and 3 piece band. Every week he came up with a different square than we had ever done before. It started at nine and ended at one. My mom knew I would be home by two. Of course, we were hardly awake for church. One time they had a wheel chair group from Jackson come down and demonstrate square dancing on wheels. I even had my mom, dad, aunt and uncle there for that. My mom made me a red handkerchief skirt out of 12 handkerchiefs and it participated in many a doe see doe and swing your partner.
