Update 2/26/2024: Well I found out there were fairgrounds in Howell at one time. I don't know where they were exactly but I posted a wild guess on a 1955 aerial photo below. There are track outlines on the premises but I wouldn't give great odds these were the track until I get more information.
There was an article that indicated the fair would move from site to site which doesn't help nail down where the auto racing was. I have confirmed there were motorcycle races here, even one sponsored by the Hell's Angels chapter out of Detroit in 1938. That is super interesting because the lore on that is the Hell's Angels were a post WWII club started in Fontana CA in 1948.

My info has the track being replaced by a shopping plaza. Looks like a local need to make a trip to the USDA Soil Conservation Office to pull the aerial. Track ran twice in 1938.
