This resort was owned by T.K. Reid and was active mainly in the 1930's - 1940's but goes back 100 years prior to the Cole family. At that time it was services by the Michigan Central Railroad when the area had a sawmill. This resort included a hotel, beach, picnicking, dining, and facilities for fishing. According to historical aerial photography, the place was already gone by 1947. It came up for sale a few years back and I was able to glean some good information and photos from the real estate listing.
