I have been to Greene's dozens of times and it is fantastic. A classic that I hope never closes.

If you’re younger than 55, you’ve never seen the corner without the little white building with the streamlined architecture. Jim Greene built the restaurant when 10 Mile was a dirt road and a Sinclair gas station with its dinosaur logo sat across the street.
Today, Debbie Sutton and her mother, Mary Jenkins, own Greene’s. Sutton’s dad and Mary’s husband, Jake Jenkins, who passed away two years ago, worked at Greene’s in Farmington from the day it opened, May 21, 1957. Jake Jenkins worked as the manager at another Greene’s, at Six Mile and Wyoming in Detroit — there were three in all, but the two Detroit locations are gone — before coming to Farmington. Jake Jenkins took over the place in 1977.
During its 55 years, Greene’s withstood challenges from national fast-food chains that moved in across the street.
“My dad’s philosophy was always keep it simple. That’s always what he said. Do what you do well, and that’s it,” said Sutton.
