This place started in the 1930's as the Stockholm Restaurant which operated until the 1960's until it became the location for the Playboy Club in Detroit. The Playboy Clubs all closed and the building was razed. Today the site is the location of the AT&T Central Office. As for the Playboy Club, another version was re-opened at 20231 James Couzens which had previously been Skandia restaurant. It was short-lived and eventually became the Sting Club. That closed and a what looks to be an empty modern era drugstore sits on the site as of 2023.
