This old motel shows up on the 1954 aerial photo. It featured a Southwestern Motif, hence the name. It was operated by C. Ekkens and Pat and Joe Bielinski but I am not sure of the chronology on that. By 1965, you can see the construction of what is now a car dealership so it didn't last that long. That entire stretch has gotten quite built up over the years.
