This motel goes back to the 60's more than likely. The owners back then were the Wahlstrom's as well as John and Wilma Zawada. I am not sure who had it first. It has operated under several names since then. Besides the Parkway, we had Marquette Motor Lodge, UP Motor Lodge, and finally North Coast Place which it operates under as of 2023. It is now a "serviced apartment" and the new owners have poured some money into the place just judging by the recent photos.
