The lot the Pines occupied was tourist cabins in the 1950's. Later, a full motel was built and was operated by Bill & Donna Battige. Eventually, the old motel was gone and a newer one built by the early 1990's. Sometime after that, the Arnold Line Dock and parking lot was expanded and that motel was also razed. That entire area was and is motel city. It will take lots of work identifying them all, luckily I enjoy doing so.
